为什么答案不是定义这个firm a (us)呢？因为是它宣称遵守GIPS，所以即便是定义firm，不也应该站在它的角度上来定义吗

跟母公司有什么关系呢？题目又没说母公司宣称遵守GIPS

要求要“define the firm as broadly as possible”，要完整定义Firm A（US），肯定要提到它的母公司，要说清楚它有母公司，母公司除了它还有别的分支。最终目标是为了“reduces the likelihood of confusion among investors and regulators over the intended applicability of a claim of compliance.”
