In 2014, it purchased another 1,000 units, each unit was bought at $60 and sold at $75, but only 500 units were sold.

In 2014, the company's ending inventory balance is:?

解释：

C is correct. Considering FIFO method is adopted, the 500 units of inventory left by 2013 were firstly sold in 2014, then 1000 units of inventory purchased in 2014 all remained, the ?ending inventory balance = 1,000×60= 60,000.

利润=1500*70+500*75-2000*70=128500 这样算对吗？

一般一道题说是periodic的话我们都按照是一个accounting period来算，所以2014年那500个也还是按照2013年cost来算。如果是perpetual计算结果也是一样的。FIFO情况下本来这两种盘存方法算出来的结果都一样呢。

利润是流量值，一般都是以年为单位，这道题只能算出（收入-成本）的毛利润，我们分别算一下：

2013年末：1500×（70-50）=30,000，这个计算还是比较直观的。

2014年末：500×（75-50）=12500，75是sales price，而成本还是用的50元，因为这道题用的FIFO，公司2014年卖掉的500件存货，是2013年没卖完剩下的那500件，对应的采购成本是50元。

还是看不太懂，这道题算的是毛利润，但是结果求的是ending inventory balance,

关于这个毛利的计算我问一下，2014年的单个成本如果还是按照是2013年50块钱计算的话那这道题前面规定的period的就没有意义了啊
