为什么说income effect larger than substitution？
我理解的是income increase，相当于price decrease，所以consumption decrease，negative，这么理解对吗？substitution这个不知道怎么理解。

这类题我总结了下，主要结论和理解方式供你参考。
请记住结论（以下是我的心血）：
在研究P下降的情形下，Q怎么变：
（以下使得Q增加的效应就是positive ；使得Q下降的效应就是negative）
1）所有商品的替代效应(substitution effect) 都是正positive 的；
2）不同商品的收入效应（income effect）随着商品是 一般商品（normal good）、劣质品（inferior good、Giffen good）、炫耀品（Veblen good）而不同。
其中一般商品是positive，劣质品是negative，Veblen不怎么考。
所以，只根据这个结论，本题我们就能得出答案：
题目告诉我们商品X的price 下降，Q 也下降。也就是说，两个效应的最终的合力是“使得Q下降”的结果，即negative的，那么必然能够是--------带来nagative效果的income effect 超过了带来positive 效果的substitution effect，就是答案讲解中所说的。
下面我们再从理解的角度看看两个effect 怎么去有效记住：
substitution effect：你可以这么理解，一样商品的价格下降了，那么它相对于其他竞争的商品相比的竞争力提升了，人都是想贪便宜的，let's say，苏菲的卫生巾降价了！那么我们就少买点高洁丝的卫生巾对不对？所以，不管什么商品，substitution effect 都是正的！（这样会好记一点，是不是？）
income effect：你可以这样理解，如果商品价格下降，那么你的实际购买力提升了，你就简单理解为你的工资高了收入提升了，那么你收入提升了之后，正常情况下我们会每一类商品都能买的更多了（买更多的意愿、能力都提升），因此，normal good 我们就会多买，normal good 的income effect 就是正的！
但是，你收入提升了，假设夸张一点，你一步买入更高阶层，那么你就不稀罕以前穷的时候因为省钱买的劣质品了，你不再跑到菜市场捡烂白菜回家挑挑吃，而是去沃尔玛大超市买那些挑好的成色棒的高级蔬菜了，对不对？所以对于劣质品（inferior good、Giffen good），income effect 就是负的！
