require major capital expenditure in the near future是什么意思啊 没理解

NO.PZ2023020602000124

Assume U.S. GAAP applies unless otherwise noted. An analyst gathered the following information ($ millions) about companies operating in the same industry:

Although the companies have different levels of sales and assets, they are all experiencing sales growth at about the same rate and use the same type of equipment in the manufacturing process. All companies also use the same depreciation method. Based only on the information above, which company is least likely to require major capital expenditures in the near future?

选项:

A.Company 1 B.Company 2 C.Company 3

解释:

Average life of F/A= Accumulated depreciation/ annual depreciation expense, choose the least, which is least likely to require major capital expenditure in the near future.

由于三个公司都有“same type of equipment in the manufacturing process”,也就是固定资产是一样的。而且公司也“All companies also use the same depreciation method.”
