机构投资者通常倾向于投资规模较大的上市公司，这些公司的股份分散程度比较高，往往有大量的散户股东，机构投资者持股比例相对较小。另外机构投资者往往要考虑分散化效果，因此不会把大量资金投资在一家公司里。
